Two dead after A1121 crash near Boston
Nottingham Post
Tragically, two people have died following a collision near Boston on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were called shortly before 5.50pm to reports of a serious collision on the A1121 Boardsides, near the junction with Sutterton Drove.
The victims, an 18-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, were travelling in separate vehicles. Their families have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Three cars were involved in the collision: a green Vauxhall Corsa and a blue BMW 1 Series, both travelling towards Boston, and a black BMW 1 Series heading towards Swineshead.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.
The A1121 has been closed to allow forensic and collision investigation teams to examine the scene.
Detective Sergeant Kate Johnston, leading the investigation, has appealed for witnesses. She said: "I am grateful to those who have already provided information and appeal to anyone else who saw, heard, or has dashcam footage to come forward.
"Two people have tragically died, and our thoughts are with their families today; I send my sincere condolences."
