PM Hun Manet and First Lady Provide Aid to Over 800 Families in Banteay Meanchey
Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and the First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, have extended vital humanitarian assistance to more than 800 vulnerable families in Banteay Meanchey province, underscoring the Royal Government's commitment to citizen welfare, especially in border regions.
A total of 807 families in Chouk Chey village, O'Beichoan commune, O'Chrov district, received relief packages containing food supplies and cash assistance. The aid was officially delivered on Dec. 7 afternoon by Banteay Meanchey Governor H.E. Oum Reatrey and Provincial Council President Phlek Vary, accompanied by a provincial working team.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Governor Oum Reatrey emphasised that the assistance reflects Prime Minister Hun Manet and Dr. Pich Chanmony's deep concern for the welfare of all citizens, particularly those residing in areas adjacent to the Thai border. He noted that the initiative aligns directly with the Royal Government's policy framework aimed at addressing household challenges and improving national living standards.
Governor Reatrey urged residents to maintain close cooperation with Royal Government guidance and local authorities to ensure the continuity of security, public order, and sustainable community development.
Beneficiary families expressed profound gratitude for the support, stating the aid was critical in alleviating immediate hardships and food shortages. They reaffirmed their confidence in the Royal Government's leadership and pledged their continued contribution to the preservation of peace and national development efforts.
