Lions' Alex Anzalone chimes in on controversial pass interference called on Cowboys' Jake Ferguson
Sporting News
Alex Anzalone, admittedly, has some bias when it comes to the offensive pass interference penalty called against Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson on Thursday night.
"Y'all are weird.. you can't grab someone's jersey and sling through like that. My body didn't do that for no reason. We declined it anyways."
Here's the call, for those who need another look:

And honestly, the more times you watch it, the more you feel like Anzalone has a point.
Sure, it's a call that is probably often let go. But if a defensive back pushed an offensive player aside like that (a la Michael Jordan before his jumper against the Jazz), it'd probably be called DPI.
So why can't it be OPI? Maybe it's ticky-tack, but maybe it's not as wrong as everyone is saying.
Anzalone's other point is fair, too. The ball didn't get caught anyway. The Lions declined the penalty.
Unless you want to argue that Anzalone committed defensive pass interference here, then it doesn't even really matter.
