I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here star Shona McGarty admitted that her campmates helped her as she suffered with some "bad days" in the jungle.

Former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty placed third on the ITV reality programme behind runner-up and Celebs Go Dating receptionist Tom Read Wilson and King Of The Jungle and YouTube star Angryginge, whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle. Angry Ginge made history on the ITV show as he became the first social media star to win Down Under, with him admitting jungle life has changed him.

After leaving the jungle, Shona said to hosts Ant and Dec: "I feel great, I do, I feel great. I made it this far, I cant believe it. I've done it all. I can't believe you kept me going in here, it looks like I had fun in there and I did."

Sharing her favourite part of taking part in I'm A Celebrity, she added: "Favourite part was seeing my sister, but I'd have to say the pirate ship trial, I absolutely loved it."

Speaking to the Mirror, Shona admitted that she had a lot of anxiety throughout her time in the jungle, and how her campmates were the ones who got her through.

She said: "I had a few bad days in there, I think, like two bad days. But it was very easily sorted, because I spoke to my camp mates, who, you know, were very open with me and understood, and they wanted to understand about anxiety. They just got me through it. Because when you're in there, you do have a family.

"Anyone I've ever spoken to says that you make such a big family. And I thought that can't be true, because it's only a few weeks, but I cannot imagine not speaking to these people again. These are friends for life."

Shona also denied any romance rumours between herself and Manchester-born rapper Aitch after viewers noted the close bond they developed while in the ITV jungle.

She revealed: "Look I'm sure that Aitch would make someone a lovely boyfriend, but he's a lot younger than me. I only see him as a brother, and I would only protect him as an older sis
