HENDERSON, Minn. (KEYC) - The second year of construction on the three-year Highway 93 project has wrapped up for the winter
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says this year's construction included completion of the Rush River Bridge, placement of riprap, levee and watermain work, installation of a culvert, and erosion control.
Work scheduled for 2026 includes finishing the overflow bridge, completing city utility installation, finishing floodwall, final grading, paving, signage, striping, and turf establishment.
Highway 93 has been closed since April of last year.
When finished, the road will have been raised 8 feet, placing it one foot above historic high-water events
The $30.6 million project is expected to be completed in late 2026.
