Third Annual Blankets and Broth event: 9 a.m. to noon, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 19. Friedman JCC, 613 S.J. Strauss Lane, Kingston. Volunteers are welcome to make handmade fringe blankets. Collection held for broth, soup, or any non-perishable food to contribute to the Friedman JCC food pantry, Sarah's Table. Blankets will be distributed to Ruth's Place, Project Warm for Veterans Affairs, and the Salvation Army Kirby House. No pre-registration is necessary. Doors will open at 8 a.m. Check odonnell-law.com in case inclement weather affects the event. Please bring scissors if possible. St. Paul's Lutheran Church labyrinth walk: 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17. St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 474 Yalick Road, Dallas. No reservations required. Shoes are not worn while walking the labyrinth; wear or bring socks. Finger labyrinths available for those with physical or visual disabilities.
