It's scary to imagine your life if you wake up and see money deducted from your bank account, and that too without an OTP. This is something Android malware is capable of doing. Many people think that if OTP is needed, money automatically becomes safe. However, it's not the case. Imagine that a virus comes and infects your phone, opens your banking applications, and does transactions.
Android users need to stay alert. As per reports, the Albiriox virus has been found infiltrating banking, UPI, digital payment, fintech, and even crypto apps. Once inside your phone, it uses Android's accessibility tools to operate your banking apps in the background. This malware gives hackers full control without ever needing your permission again.
Reportedly, cybercriminals are selling this virus as Malware-as-a-Service, meaning anyone can subscribe to it, download it, and start attacking users.
